 Street Level Installation Tool

Eliminate confined space entry when installing sensors.

Measuring flow and water quality in sewers is fast and easy. The Isco Street Level Installation Tool lets you install your monitoring system from ground level, eliminating the costs and hazards of manhole entry. Pole sections can be combined to access pipe as deep as 15 feet. Use the Street Level Installation Tool with the following Isco flow and parameter sensors:

• Area Velocity Sensors
• Submerged Probes
• Bubble Lines
• pH Probes
• Dissolved Oxygen Probes
• Temperature Probes

Non-Isco probes can be used as well, but may require adapting to fit the mounting rings.

The Street Level Installation Tool consists of a Mounting Ring and a Multi-section pole. To install, simply attach your sensor to the mounting ring, then slide the ring onto the rod at the base of the pole and lower it into the manhole. Pulling the strap collapses the ring so it can be inserted into the upstream pipe. Once in place, release the strap, allowing tension against the wall of the pipe to hold the ring in place. Remove the pole.

To remove – pull on the strap to collapse the mounting ring for quick removal.

Standard Features

  • Spring-tension ring holds sensor securely in the sewer even in high-velocity flow
  • Multi-section installation pole is easy to transport and assemble to length required.
  • Mounting for Area Velocity Sensor does not require a separate sensor carrier.

 Flow Metering Inserts

Accurate bubbler measurement for temporary monitoring sites – with no manhole entry.

Isco Flow Metering Inserts provide a quick and accurate means of measuring and recording flow in round sewer pipes. Their unique design allows you to install the metering inserts from ground level, eliminating the costs and hazards of manhole entry.

The metering inserts are designed for use with the Isco 730 and 4230 bubbler flow meters. They are ideal for short-term (a few hours) or long-term (several weeks) flow measurement studies.

Isco Flow Metering Inserts allow you to accurately measure flow from 1 to 640 GPM in pipes from 6 inch to 12 inch diameter, in manholes up to 16 feet deep.

Standard Features

  • Tested and calibrated by St. Anthony Falls Hydraulics Laboratory at the University of Minnesota.
  • Constructed of durable, corrosion-resistant aluminum and plastic.
  • Each metering insert includes an integral round orifice for measuring higher flow rates.

 581 Rapid Transfer Device

Just plug it in! The 581 RTD automatically retrieves stored data from your Isco instruments.

The 581 Rapid Transfer Device (RTD) is the convenient alternative to using laptop computers in the field. Unlike laptop computers, the 581RTD requires little or no training, so it can be easily used by anyone on your staff. Simply plug the 581 RTD into the port on your Isco instrument and your flow, rainfall, water quality, and sampling data are quickly transferred to the RTD. There are no additional cables to carry, and no buttons to push. Data transfer is completely automatic.

Back in the comfort of your office, you can quickly transfer the data from the RTD to your PC for display, storage or printout. Isco offers Flowlink®, Textlink, and Samplink Software for analyzing the data collected by your RTD.

Standard Features

  • Large, versatile memory. With storage for over 900,000 bytes of data, a single RTD can typically retrieve data from up to 24 Isco flow meters and samplers.
  • Rugged and compact. The Isco RTD is unaffected by submersion, and small enough to fit in your shirt pocket.

Applications

  • Automatic data retrieval from Isco 4100 Series Flow Loggers, 4200 Series Flow Meters, 6700 Series Samplers

Options and Accessories

  • Flowlink Software. Downloads data from the 581 RTD and all compatible instruments, and generates informative graphs, reports, and summaries from stored data.
  • Textlink Software. Automatically stores data from the RTD in an ASCII spreadsheet file for analysis using Microsoft Excel®, or other programs. Can also store data in a text file, or output data directly to a printer.

 674 Rain Gauge

Connects directly to 6712 and Avalanche Samplers, 4200 Flow Meters, and 4100 Flow Loggers

The Isco 674 Rain Gauge is a precision instrument that uses a tipping bucket design for accurate rainfall measurement. It has an 8 inch diameter orifice and is factory-calibrated to tip at either 0.01 inch or 0.1 mm of rainfall. With a 674 Rain Gauge connected, an Isco flow meter or sampler will:

• Plot graphs and print reports of rainfall data on the flow meter’s built-in printer
• Store rainfall data in internal memory for retrieval and analysis with Isco Flowlink® Software
• Activate sampling based on rainfall

Standard Features

  • Three-point leveling and integral bubble level make it easy to align the rain gauge for maximum accuracy.
  • Sapphire jewel bearings on the tipping bucket are spring-loaded to prevent damage to the bearings and ensure consistent operation over a wide temperature range.
  • Screens cover all openings to prevent leaves, insects, and other debris from clogging the gauge.
  • Included 50-foot cable connects directly to compatible Isco flow meters and samplers.

Applications

  • Stormwater runoff monitoring
  • Inflow and infiltration studies
  • Combined sewer overflow monitoring
  • cMOM and CSO/SSO programs (Sewer overflow monitoring and prevention)
  • General rainfall measurement
