701 pH/Temperature Module

Add pH and temperature sensing to your 6712 or Avalanche Sampler

Plug the 701 module into your 6712 Sampler, and place the streamlined stainless steel sensor in the flow stream for accurate monitoring and logging of pH and temperature. Additionally, you can trigger the sampler to collect samples only when a specific limit is exceeded. This can be done for the entire sampling program, or you can collect separate samples of independent volumes when the parameters exceed your programmed limits.

Save time and money by sampling only when a programmed pH or temperature limit is exceeded!

Standard Features

  • Exposed temperature sensor reacts and compensates more quickly to changes in flowstream temperature, providing more accurate data recorded
  • During the program’s operation, current pH and temperature values are viewable on the sampler's LCD display.
  • All parameter data stored in the sampler is available for later retrieval, reporting, and graphing using Isco Flowlink® software.

720 Submerged Probe Flow Module

Submerged probe accuracy unaffected by wind, steam, foam, turbulence or air temperature change

The probe on the Isco 720 is mounted at the bottom of the channel, and uses a differential pressure transducer to measure the level of the flow stream. The 6712 Sampler then converts this depth measurement into flow rate. The probe's venting system automatically compensates for changes in atmospheric pressure to maintain accuracy. The 720 provides accurate measurement at sites where wind, steam, foam, turbulence or air temperature fluctuations exist. The probe is suitable for small channels, and accurately senses pressure even when covered with silt and sand.

Isco mounting rings make it easy to install the probe in round pipes, manhole inverts, and other open channels. And with the Isco Street Level Installation Tool, you can install your monitoring system from ground level, eliminating the costs and hazards of entering manholes. Most flumes are also available with an integral recess for mounting an Isco Submerged Probe.

Standard Features

  • Submerged probe accuracy unaffected by wind, steam, foam, turbulence or air temperature change
  • Built-in flow conversions for most applications, including weirs and flumes, Manning formula, data points, or equation for special situations.
  • During the program’s operation, current flow and level values are viewable on the sampler's LCD display.
  • All flow data stored in the sampler is available for later retrieval, reporting, and graphing using Isco Flowlink software.

Applications

  • Flow measurement where wind, steam, foam, or turbulence exist.
  • Triggering the 6712 sampler based on flow or level.

730 Bubbler Flow Module

Bubbler level sensing provides the most accurate measurement.

Isco 730 Bubbler Flow Modules use an internal air compressor to force a metered amount of air through a bubble line submerged in the flow channel. By measuring the pressure needed to force air bubbles out of the line, the water level is accurately determined. The 6712 Sampler then converts this level into flow rate.

The 730 provides accurate measurement in a variety of conditions. It is suitable for small channels, and is not affected by wind, steam, foam or turbulence. And, because only the bubble tube contacts the flow, corrosive chemicals are not a problem. Automatic bubble line purging prevents clogging. The 730 also resists damage by lightning and debris, making it ideal for stormwater applications.

Automatic Drift Compensation makes Isco bubbler flow meters the most accurate level measurement technology. In standby applications such as stormwater runoff monitoring, Automatic Drift Compensation also allows the 730 to maintain calibration for extended periods in standby applications such as stormwater runoff monitoring.

Standard Features

  • Bubbler line is unaffected by flow stream composition.

  • All level data stored in the sampler is available for later retrieval, reporting, and graphing using Isco Flowlink® software.

Applications

  • Level and flow measurement in shallow streams, and/or where lightning and debris may occur
  • Triggering the 6712 sampler based on flow or level.
  • Collecting flow proportioned samples.

 750 Area Velocity Flow Module

Area Velocity - no weir or flume needed! Handles submerged, surcharged, and reverse flow.

The sensor on the 750 module uses patented Doppler technology to directly measure average velocity in the flow stream. An integral pressure transducer measures liquid depth to determine flow area. The 6712 sampler then calculates flow rate by multiplying the area of the flow stream by its average velocity.

The 750 gives you greater accuracy in applications where weirs or flumes are not practical, or where submerged, full pipe, surcharged and reverse flow conditions may occur. With area velocity you don’t have to estimate the slope and roughness of the channel. And Isco’s exclusive 500 kHz Doppler penetrates farther into deep flow streams than 1 MHz systems, whose shorter wavelength can cause them to give “nearsighted” velocity measurement in typical wastewater applications. The Doppler system continuously profiles the flow stream, eliminating profiling and calibration required by electromagnetic systems.

Standard Features

  • Sealed Area-Velocity sensor resists fouling by oil and grease. Streamlined shape sheds debris.
  • Choice of standard (10 ft) and extended (30 ft) level measurement range.
  • During the program’s operation, flow, velocity, and level values are viewable on the sampler's LCD display.
  • Level and velocity data stored in the sampler are available for later retrieval, reporting, and graphing using Isco Flowlink® software.

Applications

  • Accurate open channel flow measurement without a weir or flume
  • Pretreatment Compliance
  • Stormwater Runoff Monitoring
  • Permit Enforcement
  • Sewer Flow Monitoring
  • Combined Sewer Overflow Studies
  • Inflow and Infiltration Studies
  • River and Stream Gauging

Options and Accessories

  • Choice of Standard and Low Profile Area Velocity Sensors.
    - Standard Sensor is recommended for larger pipes and turbid flows with high concentrations of suspended solids and entrained air.
    - Low Profile Sensor is recommended for shallows flows, typically down to 1" (25 mm).
  • Isco mounting rings make it easy to install the area velocity sensor in round pipes, manhole inverts, and other open channels.
  • Isco Street Level Installation Tool to install monitoring system from ground level, eliminating the costs and hazards of confined space entry.

 780 Analog Output Flow Module

Adds intelligence to your analog signal

The 780 Smart 4-20 Module gives your Isco 6700 Series Sampler the capability to interpret analog data from other equipment that you already own. For example, if you have flow meters that output a 4-20 mA signal, the 780 Module allows you to use that flow signal to pace your 6700 or 6712 sampler. The sampler with 780 module also converts the signal into digital information that can be displayed in real time and stored for future retrieval and analysis using Flowlink® Software.

If the signal is not a flow proportional signal, real time information is still displayed, but in a simple, easy-to understand percentage of full scale. This signal can then be used to initiate sampling routines or individual samples.

Connection to the analog signal is also a snap. The Model 780 comes with a cable with twin leads attached. Simply connect it to your analog signal and program the sampler for proper operation.

Standard Features

  • Converts flow-proportional signal to selectable flow units, enabling the 6700 Sampler to display real time flow rate and totalized flow.
  • Enables sampler pacing in actual flow units instead of an arbitrary number of flow pulses from a flow meter.

Applications

  • An Isco 6700 Series Sampler with 780 module can interpret any 4-20 analog signal and use the data to pace sampling, and store the data digitally for later retrieval and analysis.
