 4110 Flow Logger

Ultrasonic, noncontacting sensor. Ideal for weirs and flumes in heavily contaminated streams.

The 4110 Ultrasonic Flow Logger provides non-contact measurement of the flow over a weir or in a flume. The ultrasonic sensor is mounted above the flow stream, and transmits a sound pulse that is reflected by the liquid surface. Elapsed time between sending a pulse and receiving an echo determines the level in the channel. The 4110 calculates the flow from this level reading and its built in conversion for the specified primary device. Automatic compensation for air temperature ensures measurement accuracy.

Because its sensor does not contact the liquid, the 4110 provides long-term dependability with no scheduled maintenance. The Isco 4110 is not affected by chemicals or high concentrations of grease, suspended solids or silt in the flow.

All setup of the flow logger is performed using Flowlink Software. You can retrieve stored data on-site with a laptop PC or an Isco 581 Rapid Transfer Device. Isco Flowlink Software produces a variety of informative graphs and reports from stored data.

 4120 Flow Logger

Submerged probe mounts at bottom of stream. Best for sites with wind, steam, foam or turbulence.

The 4120 Flow Logger measures liquid level using a differential pressure transducer, and calculates flow using built-in level-to-flow conversions. The probe's venting system automatically compensates for changes in atmospheric pressure to maintain accuracy. This technology provides accurate measurement at sites where wind, steam, foam, turbulence or air temperature fluctuations exist. The probe accurately senses pressure even when covered with silt and sand.

Isco mounting rings make it easy to install the probe in round pipes, manhole inverts and other open channels. With the Isco Street Level Installation Tool, you can install your monitoring system from ground level, eliminating the costs and hazards of entering manholes. In addition, most flumes are available with an integral recess for mounting an Isco Submerged Probe.

You can retrieve stored data on-site with a laptop PC or an Isco 581 Rapid Transfer Device. Isco Flowlink Software produces a variety of informative graphs and reports from stored data.

 4150 Flow Logger

Area Velocity - no weir or flume needed! Handles submerged, surcharged, and reverse flow.

The sensor on the Isco 4150 uses patented Doppler technology to directly measure average velocity in the flow stream. An integral pressure transducer measures liquid depth to determine flow area. The 4150 then calculates flow rate by multiplying the area of the flow stream by its average velocity.

The 4150 gives you greater accuracy in applications where weirs or flumes are not practical, or where submerged, full pipe, surcharged and reverse flow conditions may occur. With area velocity you don’t have to estimate the slope and roughness of the channel. The Doppler system continuously profiles the flow stream, eliminating profiling and calibration required by electromagnetic systems.

Isco mounting rings make it easy to install the probe in round pipes, manhole inverts and other open channels. With the Isco Street Level Installation Tool, you can install your monitoring system from ground level, eliminating the costs and hazards of entering manholes.
